Questions homeowners ask
Don't see yours? Call (931) 381-0411 and ask. We're happy to talk it through.
General
Are your estimates free?
Yes. We come to your home, measure, talk through options and give you a written price at no charge and with no pressure.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Patio Plus holds Tennessee Home Improvement Contractor license #3364, held by Robert Easley since 1999. You can confirm it at verify.tn.gov by searching “Patio Plus”.
What warranty do I get?
A one-year workmanship warranty from Patio Plus, plus the manufacturer warranties on the materials, windows and doors we install.
How can I pay?
We accept cash, check and insurance payments. Ask about payment options for larger projects at your estimate.
Where do you work?
We're based in Columbia and build across Maury County and nearby: Spring Hill, Thompson's Station, Chapel Hill, Lewisburg, Pulaski, Lawrenceburg, Hohenwald and the surrounding areas.
Do you help with permits and HOA approval?
Many outdoor rooms need a building permit, and many neighborhoods require HOA approval. Ask at your estimate and we'll go over what your project needs and what we can provide for your application.
Screen Rooms
Can you screen in an existing patio cover?
Often, yes. The patio covers we build are designed so they can be screened in later. For a porch or cover built by someone else, we look at the structure during your free estimate.
How long does a screen room take to build?
It depends on the size and any foundation work. You'll get a timeline with your written estimate before anything is ordered.
Sunrooms
What's the difference between a sunroom and a screen room?
A screen room has screen walls, so you get the breeze and keep the bugs out, mostly in the warmer months. A sunroom has glass windows, so it closes against the weather and stays usable for more of the year.
Do I need a permit or HOA approval?
Many sunroom projects need a building permit, and some neighborhoods also require HOA approval. We'll go over what applies to your property at the estimate.
Patio Covers
How long does a patio cover take to install?
Most patio covers are completed in one to three days once materials are in. Your estimate includes the timeline for your project.
Can I turn my patio cover into a screen room later?
Yes. Our patio covers are built so screen walls can be added at a later date.
Pergolas
Can you combine a pergola and a covered patio?
Yes. One recent customer had us build half covered patio and half pergola over the same 10 × 20 ft area.
Will an aluminum pergola need maintenance?
Very little. An occasional rinse keeps it clean. There's no sanding, staining or sealing like a wood pergola.
Carports
Can a carport also cover my porch or side door?
Yes. Attached carports can extend to cover a side entry or a small porch, so you stay out of the rain between the car and the house.
Do you build freestanding carports?
Yes. We build large freestanding carports for trucks, trailers and equipment as well as attached ones.
Windows & Doors
Do you install the windows yourselves?
Yes. Our crew measures and installs every window and door we sell.
What happens if a window has a problem later?
Call us. ProVia's manufacturer warranty covers the product, and we take care of the service. One customer had a cracked window replaced free within a couple of weeks.
Let's look at your space.
